tourist hunting

Saturday, November, 23 2013 was an incredible experience that I've ever got from joining pelba conducted by safel. Before joining the tourist hunting, I also joined in toefl preparation first. Since I had not done English test for a long time, it made my mind whirling to death, but I hoped to get a good result. Amen. Then, after doing the toefl test, we gathered in the rectory of UNY for having a briefing together with the tutor. There, we were given the instructions about the purpose of the program and the things to be done along the program running. Also, the briefing was ended by doing praying.at 1 pm, we started to go to malioboro by riding our motorcycles, and after we arrived there, each group spread out to search for foreigner to have a talk using English. Then, my friend named Diah and I went to Vradeburg castle for we think that that place was the tourist destination in Jogja. However, in fact we just met a foreigner and his friend that by chance was Indonesian enjoying every single part of the castle.Actually, for the first we had no courage to greet him, but we finally did it, and it did not take a long time to get a talk with him. Moreover, we also recorded our conversation by using our cellphone camera as the evidence required by the tutor. However, surprisingly, as we had talk for so long, the one who was responsible in recording the conversation unfortunately had not press the record button in the cellphone, so hwaaaaaaa we walked around with our sharp eyed in order to find another foreigner.once, there were some foreigners passed by, but when we greeted and asked them to have a chat, they did not have any time to do it. Finally, we found 2 young foreigners entering a batik shop, and we decided to wait for them out of the shop. Then after some time waiting for them, we finally could greet and begin to have a conversation with them. It was one as a speaker and one who recorded, and we did it by turn. Finally, the task was well done, and we felt so relief and satisfied. This experience was the first for us, and we really enjoyed when we found the foreigners who were very friendly in having a conversation. however, it was so disappointing and tiring when we asked the foreigner who did not have much time to have a chat with us. Thus, this experience taught us to have be more open-minded in fact that to talk with foreigners was not as difficult as what we imagined, and it made us more confident as well. In brief, it gave a good experience both to our mental health and our language ability.
